New York designer Betsey Johnson joined forces with Chantal Bacon in 1978 and started the Betsey Johnson label, as it is known today. Her commitment to remain true to her one-of-a-kind vision has afforded continued success in the clothing fashion industry for 45 years. 
 


Today there are over sixty Betsey Johnson stores worldwide, the boutique at Fashion Central is her newest. Opening its doors this past November, it is the fourth Betsey Johnson boutique to open in Canada. The 1,000 square foot store features the brand’s new interior design concept. Unlike the traditional pink and checkerboard interior of other Betsey Johnson boutiques, the Calgary location features crisp white walls, airy metal fixtures and display cases, hot pink hangers, and signature fuchsia petticoats that hang from soaring white ceilings. Johnson’s presence is definitely sensed by her eye-catching black and white portrait and neon colored dressing room curtains, each with a festive life-size portrait of the designer.  
 


The collection boasts the sexy, rock n’ roll, feminine clothing and accessories that Betsey Johnson is famous for. Carrying everything from 50’s style floral dresses and gun printed sweaters to sequin leopard totes and suede boots, the entire world of Betsey is offered. With a colorful and always whimsical variety of shoes, lingerie, bags, belts, watches, eyewear, swimsuits, and legwear there is really something for everybody.
